During my spring break, Jonah and I had the opportunity to go down to Aurora to visit Great Grandma and Grandpa D. It was a wonderful visit. Jonah got lots of hugs, had his first experience with a cuckoo clock, tried some new foods (meatballs! tomatoes!), and generally charmed the pants off of everybody. Great Grandpa even busted out the harmonica. So fun. Jonah is one lucky little guy to have so many people around him who love him.
Jonah love, love, loves his Nana. Eric and I are incredibly lucky that my mom and dad have been willing to provide full-time daycare to our little man since I went back to work when he was two months old. This entailed them selling their Grand Junction home of nearly thirty years and relocating here, which I know was really difficult. However, I am hoping they are finding it to be worth it. All I can say is that it has allowed Jonah to build a bond with the two of them that is amazing, and it is so fun to see. Case in point, these photos of Jonah and Nana. Love!
Let's also pretend that, during my extended vacation from blogging between December 2012 to April 2013, I didn't neglect to post pictures documenting the birth of our beautiful nephew, Laszlo, on December 28th. Nate and Lena are wonderful parents, and we are so happy to have a new little guy in the family. Jonah is not quite sure what to make of Laszlo yet, besides knowing he is a baby and liking to watch him in his crib, but I know they will be buddies for life down the line. Below are a few pictures from the hospital and from some subsequent visits from Uncle Nate, Auntie Lena, and Baby Laszlo. Welcome to the world, little man!
By "let's play pretend," I mean, "let's pretend that Melanie didn't forget to post pictures from Christmas, which her sister specifically requested." Yikes. So, yeah, it is full-on spring around here, but I am going to post our Christmas pictures anyway. Here you go.
